I’m Carla Russo, a 28-year-old journalist based in Hawaii. For now, I live on the north shore of Oahu with my fat orange cat and husband but that’s probably going to change soon. I work as a reporter for HuffPost and I cover way too many things, including national breaking news, Hawaii, culture and identity, and politics.
In my spare time, I surf, freedive, saunter on beaches, take myself too seriously and scribble thoughts into a journal. I also write poetry, which makes me feel infinitely alive and embarrassed, in that order.
